Renown Lab Services has a program in place that allows for testing of group employers via client bill process, meaning the group is billed directly. Groups wanting to receive testing will need to complete this contract from Renown Health and send to Lisa.Wintch@renown.org. Details in this contract and the price of COVID testing are non-negotiable. Those groups wanting to receive testing should work directly with Renown Lab Services.

Important details to note:

• Groups do not need to receive their health insurance benefits from Hometown Health to be eligible for testing through Renown Lab Services. Renown will test anyone who is wanting it via independent contract.
• Individuals may be symptomatic or asymptomatic to be tested.
• The cost to the group is $125.00 per person. The group will receive a bill at the end of the month from Renown for the services. This service is not billed through any insurance. The group must provide the employees’ information in the contract, then the employee will be tested and the group will be billed and receives the outcome report of the test.
• The testing may be done in one of three ways once the contract is signed and set-up:
  
  
  • Employees may make an appointment any designated Renown site that does testing (like a lab) by calling 775-982-5000.
  • Employees may utilize the new “drive thru” testing site in the parking lot between the Hometown Health building and South Meadows Medical Center. Renown Lab Services id offering convenient, first-come, first-serve COVID drive-through testing Monday – Saturday 7 a.m. 2:30 p.m. for patients with a medical lab order.
  • Renown can come to groups’ work sites and perform testing on employees at work.
  • This is only available to larger groups. Renown will look at the group size on a case-by-case basis and determine if the group is eligible for this option.

Please note this is not a self-refer option. If an individual would like to be tested on their own (even in the drive-thru), they must have a doctor’s order.
